Things unsaid
(Originally Published June 21, 2012) There are times when I have thoughts I want to post on fb and then I don't because I am fbf's with many different circles. I thought about using this blog as a place to post those thoughts. I have thoughts that need to be expressed. I have found myself posting and deleting, retyping and redeleting. Then I walk away and say those things to God. He is the only one I can say anything to. In Jeremiah there is what appears to be an arguement between Jeremiah and God. Jeremiah is upset and reveals himself honestly to God. God appears to be upset with Jeremiah also. Then after they both say their due, they forgive each other and move on to accomplish great things together. Then as if that was not enough, Jeremiah writes it down for all eternity to read and use to bring glory to God. Jonah also had to write down some harsh thoughts and behaviors.
I wonder when their writings were published if they had friends and collegues such as Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar come and sit with them and let Jonah know he is a well respected prophet. "Jonah you can't tell people that." "Jeremiah, don't write that down people will hear." God used people with doubt, fear, and disobedience in their hearts and minds, too. I am one of those people.
