MI Vida Loca
(Originally published December 23, 2014) But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life (Titus 3:4-7, NLT).
As Christmas dawns upon us, I find myself praising God because of His great mercy. This has been a rough year in so many ways, and yet His mercy has endured completely. I thought more than a few times this year I had been abandoned, if that were possible. I thought about my many friends who were in ministry and walked away, or were thrown away. I still struggle with it some days. In July, this new chapter began, and it has not been easy.
I have learned so much about myself in the past 6 months. For that I praise God. God truly is my Savior. This chapter is far from over, I fear, but I know that at the end of it Christ will be glorified.
And for that I am glad. Merry Christmas.
